This educational path houses faithful reproductions of medieval and Renaissance weapons and armour. Accurate models also illustrate siege engines and siege techniques is use in the same periods. Each room is devoted to a specific moment in the history of Monteriggioni, and the items on display for each period are placed in their proper context.
Visitors can enjoy the unusual experience of handling and trying on some weapons and pieces of armour, situated in special parts of the museum. Information panels accompany the visitor on this brief but impressive immersion in history.
Opening hours
Until March, 31 2023: every day 10am-1:30pm/2pm-5pm (5.30 pm on Saturdays and Sundays); closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
April, 1 to September, 30 2023: every day 9.30am-1:30pm/2pm-7.30pm
Please note: during our closing days, we are available to open ramparts and educational path “Monteriggioni in Arme” for groups over 15 paying people. Info and reservations: info@monteriggioniturismo.it
Entrance fees
