Discovering the “Via Romea” through Monteriggioni territory-Walk from Quercegrossa to Uopini

When: 08 January 09.00 h - 12.00 h

On Sunday, January 8 2012 the Municipality of Monteriggioni will organize a walk from Mulino di Quercegrossa to Uopini (approx. 9 km).

The excursion wants to let people know the local section of the “Via Sanese”, one of the six historical itineraries through the ancient florentine territory (called “Vie Romee”) recently valorized thanks to the “Ente Cassa di Risparmio di Firenze” contribution (www.vieromee.it). The “Via Sanese” linked Florence to the Via Francigena; the two itineraries joined in Uopini.

The meeting will be at 9 am in the car park of Mulino di Quercegrossa. The arrival to Uopini will be around noon.
A free shuttle service back to the departure place will be available on reservation.
