Epifany in Abbadia Isola: arrival of the Magi and inauguration of a new hospital for pilgrims

The parish of Abbadia Isola is glad to present the following events taking place on January 6:

04.00pm
-Coming of the Magi on horseback and gift of gold, incense and myrrh to Jesus;
-Arrival of the Epifany and distribution of the traditional Christmas stockings to the children;

05.00 pm
-Inauguration of the new Hostel for pilgrims walking the via Francigena. The hostel has been realized inside the old parish of the village thanks to the contribution of “Monte dei Paschi di Siena” Foundation, Monteriggioni Municipality and the parishes of Abbadia Isola, Castellina Scalo and Monteriggioni.
